AMPLIFEST 2015: AMENRA
It’s not often that one finds a band whose music is genuinely transcendent – and this scarcity only makes each of these gems even more special. AMENRA are one of these bands, and anyone who has ever experienced one of their live shows will attest that their music resonates in every corner of your being. AMENRA play sludge in its bleakest and menacing form, as evidenced by Colin Van Eeckhout’s despair-laden shrieks and by the heaviest riffs probably ever created by mankind. With the follow-up to the immense Mass V already in the works, they will return to Amplifest – their spiritual home in Portugal. There may be some new songs on the setlist or not, but either way AMENRA will surely make history again.
É rara a ocasião em que se encontra uma banda cuja música seja verdadeiramente transcendente – mas esta escassez torna cada uma ainda mais especial. Os AMENRA são uma destas bandas, e quem já tenha experienciado um dos seus concertos poderá confirmar este atributo sem hesitação. Com temas novos na setlist ou não, sobra uma certeza: far-se-á novamente história.
