Foi há três anos que, parcamente iluminados por uma solitária lâmpada que pendia sobre o centro do palco, os Aluk Todolo desenrolaram sobre o Amplifest as caleidoscópicas tapeçarias sonoras do álbum Occult Rock; as memórias deste concerto ficaram de tal modo firmadas em quem a ele assistiu que a imperatividade do regresso se tornou impossível de negar. Está agora confirmado: os Aluk Todolo voltarão ao Porto para encabeçar a primeira noite da Extended Experience do Amplifest 2016, a 19 de Agosto. Voix é o título do novo trabalho que carregarão na bagagem, e que reflecte uma aproximação aos princípios primordiais da sua música – um pacto sulfúrico entre as texturas instrumentais do black metal e do krautrock, a interpretação do riff como mantra e a dissonância como divindade. Será desta vez o escuro subsolo do Cave 45 a receber o faiscante ritual dos Aluk Todolo, no que se prevê um perfeito início para o Amplifest 2016.

Three years ago, dimly lit by a single lightbulb hanging over the center of the stage, Aluk Todolo unfolded their kaleidoscopic sound tapestries over Amplifest, playing the Occult Rock album in full. The memories of this show have become so ingrained that a second round became imperative. It is now confirmed: Aluk Todolo will return to Porto to headline the first night of the Amplifest 2016 Extended Experience on August 19. Voix is the title of the French trio’s new record, and it reflects an approach to the primordial principles of their music – a demonic pact between the instrumental textures of black metal and krautrock , where riffs become mantras and dissonance is revered as divinity. This time around, Cave 45 will host the fiery rituals of Aluk Todolo , in what will be a perfect start to Amplifest 2016.
