AMPLIFEST 2016: KOWLOON WALLED CITY

Borrowing their name from an overcrowded, lawless and rat-infested slum, Kowloon Walled City’s music perfectly embodies such bleakness and negativity with their hypnotic intertwining of sludge, noise rock and post-hardcore. Opressive but intimate and introspective, and with a thick, palpable tension dripping from each word, each note and each drum hit, Kowloon Walled City have in their latest offering, Grievances, their strongest album to date, which granted them a place in Neurot Recordings’ roster. On their first time ever in Europe, Kowloon Walled City will appear at Amplifest on Saturday, August 20th.
