AMPLIFEST 2016: THE BLACK HEART REBELLION

Associated with the Church of Ra artistic collective, The Black Heart Rebellion have, as their peers, their musical roots in hardcore; their transition away from those roots, however, has been the most severe of them all. Ambient music, ritualistic drones, tribal percussion, neofolk and other languages all converge into a sound that is as unique as it is dark and uneasy, with the most recent record “People, when you see the smoke, do not think it is the fields they’re burning” being their strongest and most focused release to date. The Black Heart Rebellion will perform at Amplifest on Sunday, August 21st.
