Another return, after they had their first Portuguese show at Amplifest 2012. If Amplificasom is signalling its eighteenth birthday in 2024, the Italian trio has a few years on us and they’re celebrating a quarter of a century as a band right now. Two celebrations that will come together in a partnership that makes absolute sense – heaviness, psychedelia, sonic experimentation, genre-bending, all of these are basic characteristics of the constantly evolving Ufomammut sound, as well as building blocks for so many other Amplifest bands. Their most recent release is the Crookhead EP, but new album Hidden, the tenth of their career, is just around the corner and that will give us some time to get used to it so that we know it well already when Poia, Urlo and Levre take the Amplifest stage in November.
