We can say that Zombi are an old Amplifest dream that we are finally going to make come true in 2024. The Steve Moore / A.E. Paterra duo has been a part of our listening habits for a long time, and since they appeared in the beginning of the century that we have been letting ourselves go with their enveloping compositions, full of delicious synths, each of them an evocative and lasting soundtrack, regardless whether the “movie” exists or not. We would have had Zombi at Amplifest anyway, but it’s extra fortunate that they have just released Direct Inject, their seventh album and yet another one we plan to listen to until our ears fall off.
