FÆMIN: o que tem sido dito?

I live for albums like this, the ones that aren’t afraid to take a look at life and dwell in its true colours. The band brings us this work, made up through their existences and life experiences, and you end up feeling as if it was your own heart and mind put into it, as if the very fabric of your life had been altered by its passage. There are those who follow and those who lead, and as the tales recount he who kills the king becomes the king himself. It’s with this thought in mind and a target in Neurosis that Process Of Guilt delivers their best effort yet, leaving behind everything else that they’ve done priorly, while still sounding like themselves.

E não se situam nesse campo, comummente designado por post-metal ou sludge, de olhos especados no futuro: os Process of Guilt são presente. São hoje. Não há imberbes esperanças, há uma consolidada maturação de uma abordagem sonora que é do melhor que se encontra neste país. E há, convém (re)sublinhar, a verdade, que este álbum acertadamente ilustra na fome: cruel, dolorosa, asfixiante, pungente e, em última instância, fatal. Convém alguém transportá-la e contá-la, não só pela urgência, mas pela sua essencial pulcritude. E os Process of Guilt fazem-no.

Process Of Guilt has shown over albums and EPs a willingness to evolve, making each iteration work and uniquely their own. This holds true for Faemin as well – I’ve referenced a lot of influences they’ve allowed in to the sound, but they still make it their own.

Doom-dealers, if you’re looking for something to crank, you’ve found your next record purchase. That goes for fans of slower, groovier death metal, too-Process of Guilt have nailed the, well, process of intense buildups before crushing payoffs. Turn down the lights and bang the head that doesn’t bang.

Don’t miss out on this release, as it is definitely one of the better underground albums thus far in 2012. I have had periods in a day where I have looped this album for hours – it is just that good.
Axes to Grind

Sometimes I can really tie PoG to Neurosis. It’s not like they stole Neurosis’ style or anything but I can surely hear a connection, in inspirations, and in textures. A lot of crescendos and really beautiful drone ambient moments make FÆMIN an album which I link to Given to the Rising or A Sun that Never Sets.
Screaming at a Wall

Slow but groovy, this album needs to be heard by anyone who is even remotely into doom or Godflesh.

In tre anni i Process Of Guilt hanno compiuto passi da gigante nella focalizzazione dei loro obiettivi e di un suono travolgente. La sensazione è che sentiremo parlare diffusamente di loro.
