Inside Amplifest: White Hills

White Hills is essentially about melting stuff with fuzz. There’s nothing hotter than a good ol’ fuzzed out guitar, with that unique psyched out flavour. That’s how White Hills roll, getting hotter and more psychedelic with every riff, jamming our ears off and melting their own rock ‘n roll to a lava like sexiness. And that’s what we expect them to do – to just make us dance to some psychic-heavy riffs.

We had a chat with White Hills about AMPLIFEST. Here’s what we got for you:

What do you expect of the Amplifest audience?

No expectations at all.

We like surprises, but what can we expect from your show?

Only surprises!

What band do you really want to see at Amplifest?

Six Organs of Admittance.

If you had to pick a band or a musician of thisAmplifest edition to play with who would it be?

Black Bombaim.

What records have you been listening lately?

Wovenhand “the laughing stalk”, Blumfeld “ich maschine”, Caustic Resin “the medicine is all gone”.

Enough about music, Amplifest is also about otherarts. What have books have you been reading andwhat movies have you been watching lately that youwant to recommend?

Books: Jim Carroll’s “void of course: poems 1994-1997”, Movies: “Cosmopolis” by David Cronenberg.

These guys know their way around good rock (Black Bombaim would most certainly agree with their answers). The video evidence is right above. Check it without using any ilegal substances. We’re still not sure if listening to White Hills is legal in some countries.
