AMPLIFEST is back! After a very successful first edition with bands as Godflesh, Bardo Pond, Jesu or Acid Mothers Temple, films as “Blood, Sweat & Vinyl” or a Seldon Hunt exhibition, we’re doing the whole roundabout again. With Godspeed You! Black Emperor headlinig an eclectic line-up, with some of the most ground-breaking outfits in modern music such as Amenra, Bohren & Der Club of Gore and Ufomammut, films about the ethos and pathos of songwriting and art-making, exhibitions and moments of sharing between artists and audience. We’ll do in a sole weekend what we’ve been doing all our lives: work for the sake of art and free expression, with ambitious and impossible to refuse proposals.

But since we’re some days away from the second Amplifest edition we decided to make your life easier.

TICKETS
I heard Amplifest is sold out? Is it true?
Amplifest is not sold out… yet. You can buy your ticket at AMPLISTORE or at some selected record stores:
Porto: Hard Club, Louie Louie, Jojo’s/ cdgo.com, Piranha and Matéria Prima
Lisboa: Carbono Lisboa, Carbono Amadora, Flur and Matéria Prima
In Spain you can also buy your ticket at Breakpoint.es

I don’t have a Paypal account, what should I do?
You can buy your ticket at Amplistore without a Paypal account.

Will I receive my ticket at home?
No. Once the payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a voucher in your e-mail address. Print it or bring it in your smartphone and we will give you the ticket and the wristband.

I bought my ticket at Amplistore, but something just happened and I can’t go. Can I sell it?
You can, but you really need to inform us to amplificasom@gmail.com who’s the new owner of your amplivoucher.

I can’t really buy it online or at the selected stores. Can I buy at the box office?
Yes, we’ll have a few available there.

ACCOMMODATION
I don’t know anyone in Porto, where can I stay?
First of all, you won’t feel alone, we’ll be this big family enjoying the art we care about. For the ones who come outside Porto, we’ve selected some hostels (prices from 10€/ night) that we really like and trust. You can check the accommodation packs at AMPLISTORE.

BOX OFFICE OPENING TIMES
FRIDAY 26th, BARN OWL AT PASSOS MANUEL
We had two options: put Barn Owl as an independent show and charge another ticket or give this show for free to the ones who bought the Amplifest ticket earlier. That’s what we did and, as you know, it’s sold out. For the ones who booked their seat: bring your Amplifest ticket/ voucher, it’s mandatory. Doors 9:30pm Show 10:00pm

SATURDAY 27th, HARD CLUB
Doors: 4:00pm
Box office is located at the entrance of Sala 1. This is where you get your wristband (even if you’re going to the Barn Owl show)! Guests and press should also pick-up their accreditations here.

SUNDAY 28th, HARD CLUB
Doors: 5:00pm

PERFORMANCE TIMES
You can check it or download it at the Amplifest site.

Amplifest is so special that we even gain one hour to enjoy it. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour at sunday 2am. Nevertheless, Neurosis listening party takes place at 2am which means 1am…

Hard Club capacity
Sala 1: 1000 persons
Sala 2: 400 persons
We’ve been doing some miracles since 2006, but here’s something we can’t do anything about it. If you really want to see something at Sala 2, make sure you’ll be there a little bit before.

AMPLIKIDS
To set their minds to Amplifest’s spirit, kids will have access to special activities in a reserved space, supervised by Fernanda, a professional sociocultural-animator.
Some of the activities are the short story hour; plastic expression, where they shall create their own musical instrument; face painting; balloon modelling; and a surprise which will end up being a souvenir.
Amplikids will take place on October 27th and 28th, from 5p.m. to 8p.m., and will be limited to ten kids with ages between 5 and 12.
To sign your kids up to Amplikids you have to e-mail us to amplificasom@gmail.com with the following data:
Parents names; Phone number; Child’s name; Child’s age; number of Amplifest’s ticket, and which day do you want your kid to take part of Amplikids.

MALLEUS EXHIBITION
Malleus Rock Art Lab will leave its office in Italy for a weekend to take over Hard Club’s mainfloor. Malleus have worked with bands such as Grails, Muse, Neurosis, Mogwai, Nine Inch Nails and The Black Keys, designing posters and artwork for over a decade of hard work. During Amplifest, the main hall of Porto’s historic venue will exhibit the works of Malleus, one of the most interesting music-oriented design labs in the world today.

Besides the merch that bands will bring, we’ll also have these stalls at the Mainfloor:

HARD CLUB
Food/ Drinks
At the uppon floor you’ll find a restaurant that will serve you some sandwiches if you don’t want to miss a riff or a warm meal if you want a more relaxed dinner. There are some bars inside both rooms where you can get your drink. Please note that neither the restaurant or bars are our responsability.

Inside the rooms
If you’re not interested to see the show, PLEASE don’t ruin it by talking to your friends inside the room. Use the Mainfloor. A band like Bohren, for example, needs the quiet atmosphere as possible.

ATM
There’s a cash machine inside Hard Club although we reccommend you to take your money prior to your arrival to Amplifest.

Smokers
It’s allowed to smoke inside Hard Club, but PLEASE avoid doing it inside Sala 1 and Sala 2. Respect who doesn’t smoke and respect the musicians by smoking in the mainfloor or outside.

Lost & Found
If you lose something during Amplifest, please warn the staff at the box office. If you find something please deliver it at the box office as well.
