Ellereve is German singer/songwriter Elisa Giulia Teschner’s nom de guerre, an up-and-coming artist that is already revealing, as early as on her debut album released this year, an uncommon sensibility to interact with various influences such as folk or electronics. Genres are treated like vehicles at the service of a musical personality surprisingly well defined from the bat. Here and there, you can spot the shadows of established musicians such as Emma Ruth Rundle or Chelsea Wolfe, from the pastoral melancholy that covers most of her songs to some sinister and more evocative passages, but Ellereve is nevertheless already walking her own path. Let us walk beside her on this, her first show in Portugal, so that together we can better understand what new destinations she can help us uncover in the future.
