Amplifest is a lot of things, and one of the most important is acting like a launch pad, if you will, a place for some of the newest and most exciting Portuguese artists to find some exposure. We like to keep our radar always on, because that’s the only way you can find semi-identified blips like Hetta, a young and highly promising band from Montijo, part of the new wave of screamo that is sweeping the international scene and allowing a complete rebirth of the genre. As if to confirm that, Hetta were recently included in a 4-way split record with other acts of similar potential: Alas, Letterbombs (both from Finland), and Apostles Of Eris from the US, contributing three tracks to it which further enrich the sonic whirlwind you can hear on their 2022 debut EP, “Headlights”. After they conquer your heart at Amplifest, they will certainly turn into one of the most poorly kept, illustrious secrets of the Portuguese scene.
