Desde a sua estreia discográfica com o álbum homónimo em 2008, os Elder têm vindo a expandir e sofisticar a sua sonoridade, afirmando-se como uma das bandas mais inventivas do espectro stoner e progressivo da última década. Com composições longas e imersivas que atravessam estilos dos anos 70 até à atualidade, os Elder conquistaram público e crítica com álbuns como Dead Roots Stirring, Lore — distinguido como “Álbum da Década” pelo The Obelisk — e Reflections of a Floating World, que integrou o Top 5 da Rolling Stone em 2017. A sua abordagem sonora, que funde o peso psicadélico do stoner com a densidade progressiva e as texturas do kraut e do space rock, tem inspirado uma nova geração de bandas e ajudado a redefinir os limites do género. Omens (2020), o primeiro álbum com a atual formação, reforçou essa vocação exploratória, abrindo caminho para Innate Passage (2022), onde a banda revelou uma paleta ainda mais rica e emotiva. Entre digressões constantes e gravações experimentais — como o aclamado The Gold & Silver Sessions e o recente Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios — os Elder mantêm uma criatividade sempre em movimento. Depois de abrirem a digressão norte-americana dos Tool em 2024, com atuações em salas icónicas como o Madison Square Garden e o antigo Staples Center, os Elder preparam-se agora para lançar um novo álbum em 2025, prometendo continuar a surpreender com a sua visão arrojada da música pesada. A Amplificasom e o SonicBlast unem esforços e o regresso a Portugal está marcado no auge deste ciclo criativo: 28 de outubro no RCA Club (Lisboa) com o suporte dos Travo e 29 de outubro no Mouco (Porto) com a primeira parte dos Madmess.

Since their self-titled debut in 2008, Elder have continuously expanded and refined their sound, establishing themselves as one of the most inventive bands within the progressive and stoner rock spectrum over the past decade. With long, immersive compositions that span influences from the 1970s to the present day, Elder have captivated audiences and critics alike with albums such as Dead Roots Stirring, Lore — crowned “Album of the Decade” by The Obelisk — and Reflections of a Floating World, which earned a Top 5 spot in Rolling Stone’s Best Metal Albums of 2017. Their sound — merging the heavy psychedelia of stoner rock with progressive depth and the textures of kraut and space rock — has inspired a new generation of bands and helped redefine the boundaries of the genre. Omens (2020), their first album with the current lineup, marked a further step in their sonic evolution, paving the way for Innate Passage (2022), where the band unveiled an even richer and more emotional palette. Amidst relentless touring and experimental recordings — including the acclaimed The Gold & Silver Sessions and the recent Live at BBC Maida Vale Studios — Elder have maintained a constant flow of creative momentum. In 2024, the band joined Tool on their North American tour, performing in legendary venues such as Madison Square Garden and the former Staples Center. Now, Elder are preparing to release a brand new album in 2025, promising to further push the boundaries of heavy music.
Amplificasom and SonicBlast join forces to present their return to Portugal at the peak of this creative cycle: October 28 at RCA Club (Lisbon) and October 29 at Mouco (Porto).
