Formados originalmente em São Francisco, os Deafheaven são compostos por George Clarke (voz), Kerry McCoy e Shiv Mehra (guitarras), Christopher Johnson (baixo) e Daniel Tracy (bateria). A banda conquistou aclamação mundial com o inovador álbum Sunbather, de 2013, que redefiniu os limites da música pesada, garantindo lugar em listas como os “100 Melhores Álbuns de Metal de Todos os Tempos” da Rolling Stone e os “200 Melhores Álbuns da Década de 2010” da Pitchfork. Em 2015, desafiaram novamente as convenções do género com New Bermuda, recebendo elogios da crítica, e em 2018 lançaram Ordinary Corrupt Human Love, que lhes valeu a primeira nomeação para um GRAMMY, na categoria de “Melhor Performance de Metal”. Sempre em constante evolução, o álbum Infinite Granite (2021) marcou uma nova fase sonora, com uma abordagem mais melódica e atmosférica. Em 2024, os Deafheaven regressam com Lonely People With Power, um álbum arrojado e expansivo que reafirma a banda como uma das forças mais inovadoras da música pesada contemporânea. Conhecidos pelas suas atuações ao vivo intensas e envolventes, os Deafheaven já percorreram o mundo, atuando em festivais como Coachella, Primavera Sound e Amplifest (2013 e 2019), e partilhando palcos com nomes como Slipknot, Knocked Loose, Chelsea Wolfe e Mono.
No melhor momento da sua carreira e acompanhados pelos Portrayal of Guilt e Zeruel, os Deafheaven regressam a Portugal para dois concertos imperdíveis: dia 22 de novembro no Mouco, no Porto, e dia 23 de novembro na República da Música, em Lisboa.
