Os Deafheaven são-nos família quase desde a nascença: em 2012 recebemo-los na sua primeira digressão europeia, em que acompanhavam os Russian Circles e apresentavam o debut Roads to Judah; vimo-los desvendar a mestria de Sunbather num concerto apoteótico no Amplifest 2013; e encontrá-los-emos de novo em 2016 para juntos celebrarmos o novo capítulo de uma carreira que tem já lugar garantido na história da música. Dançando mais uma vez entre a agressão do black metal e a candura do shoegaze, os Deafheaven têm em New Bermuda mais uma obra-prima em mãos – e qualquer dúvida será dissipada quando subirem aos palcos do RCA Club, em Lisboa e do Hard Club, no Porto, a 4 e 5 de Março, respectivamente.
Deafheaven are like family to us almost since they started out: in 2012 we received them on their first European tour, where they joined Russian Circles and were presenting their debut Roads to Judah; we saw them unravel all of Sunbather’s glory in an apotheotic show at Amplifest 2013; and we will meet them again in 2016 to celebrate the new chapter in a career that already has guaranteed a place in the history of music. Dancing once again among the aggression of black metal and the beauty of shoegaze, Deafheaven have in New Bermuda another masterpiece in their hands – and any doubt about this will be dissipated when they climb on to the stage at RCA Club in Lisbon and Hard Club in Porto, on 4 and 5 of March respectively.

Myrkur

O início de cada uma destas noites não será menos memorável: Myrkur, o recente mas muito escrutinado projecto da dinamarquesa Amalie Brunn, acompanha os Deafheaven nesta digressão e fará aqui a sua estreia em Portugal. Em foco nestes concertos estará M, o primeiro trabalho de longa-duração de Myrkur, lançado com o selo Relapse e onde pontifica um black metal que cruza a tradição nórdica com uma aproximação mais angelical ao estilo.
The start of each of these evenings will be no less memorable: Myrkur, the recent but very scrutinized project of Danish musician Amalie Brunn,will be accompanying Deafheaven this tour and here will make its debut in Portugal. The focus on these concerts will be M, the first Myrkur LP, which was released by Relapse and where black metal crosses the Nordic tradition with a more angelic approach to style.

Sunbather is a future classic, no matter where you pigeonhole it, and that’s the mark of a true sonic masterpiece. Black metal, not black metal, just call it what it is: perfect.
