As segundas oportunidades na música, assim como na vida, são raras. Num ecossistema fechado e configurado para evitar até mesmo as primeiras, uma segunda dificilmente acontece. Talvez ninguém aprecie isso mais do que Mlny Parsonz e John Weaver, a família por detrás dos Royal Thunder. Depois de perderem um membro importante e eventualmente se desmoronarem sob o peso do excesso, o querido trio da Geórgia reconectou-se com a vida, consigo próprio e escreveu o seu primeiro álbum em seis anos. Como todo o melhor material do trio, é atmosférico, comovente e instantaneamente memorável. Rebuilding the Mountain é, de facto, como Royal Thunder talvez devesse ter sido estes anos todos. A estreia e data única em Portugal terá lugar no próximo dia 26 de junho no Hard Club, Porto.
Antes do concerto, vamo-nos juntar todos na Sala 2 e assistir ao jogo da seleção no Euro 2024.

Second chances in music — as in life — are rare. In a gated ecosystem that is set up to prevent even first chances, getting a do-over hardly ever happens. Perhaps no one appreciates that more than the members of Royal Thunder. After losing a key member and eventually collapsing under the weight of excess, the beloved Georgia trio have reunited and returned with their first album in six years. Like all of Royal Thunder’s best material, it’s atmospheric, soulful and instantly memorable. Ultimately, Rebuilding the Mountain is Royal Thunder as perhaps they should have been all along. Their Portuguese debut will take place next June 26th at Hard Club, Porto.
